As a Regulatory Safety Co-op at EMD Electronics, an affiliate of Merck KGaA, I played a critical role in developing and enhancing the company’s regulatory safety compliance documentation program. My primary focus was on digitizing the methods used for record collection and maintenance, transforming a paper-based system into an efficient digital process. This initiative streamlined data management, improved accessibility, and supported the company's commitment to maintaining stringent regulatory compliance standards.
My time at EMD Electronics provided me with an in-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks and the importance of safety documentation in the chemical industry. This experience has equipped me with valuable skills in data management, process optimization, and collaborative problem-solving—skills that are essential for any aspiring engineer committed to promoting safety and efficiency in industrial environments.
I also contributed to a significant process improvement project where I efficiently organized and distributed work orders and preventive maintenance instructions (PMIs). This project facilitated smoother operations and better communication across departments, showcasing my ability to implement practical solutions that enhance operational workflow.
