In structural analysis of pulley, a pulley support made of cast alloy steel is fixed (bolted) at the flat surface through the three bolt holes located at the base of the support. The part is subjected to bearing force of 100 lbs applied to the inner surface of the larger cylinder in + X – direction. In addition to that a downward force of 20 lbs representing the weight of other part (not shown) is applied to the top face of cylinder.
This pulley support was designed in Solid Works, to create the simulation the load was added on the pulley support and then I used Solid works simulation feature to create the simulation of how load acts on the pulley.
