Purpose of this was to create a scooter which is convenient for people suffering from flexion deformity of one knee.
This Design consist of slider crank mechanism.
The mechanism operates by applying a downward force onto the pedal, triggering the internal slider-crank mechanism, moving the plate horizontally and having the springs resist the plate in the fixed position. The front sprocket is connected to the pedal and moves forwards and backwards as the rear sprocket is connected to the wheel that generates the motion of the scooter. The springs utilize rotational kinetic energy, returning the pedal back to its original position. This process is repeated by simply applying force to the solitary pedal.
The Group followed engineering method to make design for CRES scooter design, also made and followed schedule to work effectively.
