Grading Policy

6th Grade Grading Policy:

Daily work 40%

Major work 60%

Grades will consist of quizzes, vocabulary, fulfilling reading requirements, unit tests, and projects. Tests and/or projects will be a major grade and will cover each unit of study. The reading requirement will be a major grade each 9 weeks.

Homework:

Homework will consist of 30 minutes of reading (library book) each night, work which is not finished in class, and studying for tests. Some special projects will be completed at home.

Late Work Policy: A grade of 70 will be the best a student can make on late work if it is turned in one day late. Work that is two days late will earn a maximum of a 50. Late work will become a zero by the third day late.
