In my artwork, “A year like no other,” the theme of my artwork is Covid 19, LGTBQ, politics, BLM. I chose these topics because all of these things made 2020 the bad things and some silver linings. In LGTBQ, they got their rights. In Covid 19 a lot of people lost their jobs and couldn't make money. I created my artwork by putting a bunch of pictures from the main events of 2020. This shows BLM, LGTBQ and other important things. I made a collage.

In my artwork, A Year Like No Other, the theme of my artwork is Covid 19 and the whole of 2020. I chose this topic because it has been such a crazy year for everyone. For example Covid 19, Trump and Biden, BLM protests, isolation and more. My artwork includes, VA, BLM fist, mask, treble clef, ect.

The theme of my art work is what happened and what brought us together in 2020. I chose this topic because people have been through rough times but we had some things to help us out through the year. So I chose the switch, phone, and YouTube because with streams on YouTube people would able to talk with each other. People played the switch that has an online system and people could play with each other it is the same as the phone. The flag is for the presidential election because we got a new president and there were Trump and Biden. There was also the “Black lives matter” protest so I put a sign and a fist. Also, I have a mask that represents Covid-19 that brought deaths and made people wear masks. I put the Niskayuna school symbol for what happened to schools. So some people had to work virtually and others had to wear a mask and had to stay 6ft apart. I created this by using my knowledge from this year and I used a pencil and coloring pencils. The meaning of this artwork is that even though we had a rough 2020 we had each other to help us out.

In my artwork, “A year like no other,” the theme of my artwork is COVID-19 and the effects of the pandemic. I chose this topic because I feel like it is the most effective thing in our world and it has changed literally every aspect of my life and other people. For example, spending more time with my family which isn’t too bad but I am fighting with my brothers all the time. Another example, I can’t play with my friends and hug other family members, my favorite restaurants shut down, I have to stay in the same classroom with a mask all day.

In my artwork, “A Year Like No Other,” the theme of my artwork is the effects of COVID-19. I chose this topic because Covid has changed many aspects of my life. For example, I have to wear a mask everywhere I go now. It was very different to me, and I often forgot my mask. Also, I have to do online school, which I had no experience of before the pandemic. Like masks, online school was different to me and it took a little while to get used to. Now, I'm very used to both of these things. I hope people start staying inside more and keep social distancing so we can get through this quicker. I did a google slide with pictures to show how covid has changed us. I also included some pictures of BLM protests, since it was an important thing in 2020.

In my artwork a year like no other the theme of my artwork is COVID 19, and BLM and the effects of Covid. I chose this topic because these were the biggest impacts on me and all of 2020. My thought process was combining all of the worst things that happened in 2020 and just put it all together. The materials I used were just google images. The meaning is that with all of the bad things happening there is always a bright spot.

In my artwork “A year like no other”, The theme of my artwork is The pandemic, the Black lives Matter Movement, and remote learning. I choose these topics because everything is so different from every other year. If you go to school you have to wear masks, you have to keep a distance of 6 feet, and there was a lot of police brutality. I used colored pencils and the pictures are on a mask that I drew. The final piece that I made means a lot to me because it is a lot of things that I saw on the news and experienced.

In my artwork, “A Year Like No Other”. I chose multiple topics such as, BLM, Politics, Muslim concentration camps, Covid, LGBTQ rights. I chose these because each one I have a connection with. I chose BLM because as a person of color being in America is hard even though I was born here. I have faced lots of racism such as ¨Ghetto” ''This is America speak English”. Seeing innocent people of color die left and right is hard for me to hear about. It just feels too familiar and needs to stop. And I chose LGBTQ rights because I have a couple of family members and friends who are part of the LGBTQ community and people treat them horrible and discriminate against them.

My Artwork “ A year like no other” did not take many materials to make, just paper, and water brushes. I created my Artwork by imagining a perfect rainbow wonderland. The overall design is a couple of trees of every rainbow color with a rainbow reflection river and some clouds above with a 2 color blue sky. Why I created this is because I believe that the world doesn’t need a fight but it does need a rainbow and kind, loving and caring people.

In my artwork, “A Year Like No Other,” I explored the theme of politics and Covid-19 that has been raging ever since 2020. I made my artwork into a mixed media/ collage. I did this by looking into newspapers like “The New York Times,” and cut out images using scissors, whilst sticking them on with glue! I also put one of my own drawings in of Joe Biden and wrote in the background of my Artwork to look more appealing! The overall meaning of my final piece was to show many of the things that’ve been going on in the media! But the main reason that I did it was to inform people of the important issues that have been happening without being one sided/ biased!

2020 came with good and bad times. First, it started with Kobe Bryant's tragic death in a helicopter crash. Then Covid hit us HARD. There for schools closed and I could not see my friends and I only could talk through facetime on my phone. After Covid a 46-year old that got killed by the police. And I thought that this was VERY important to include because George Floyd died innocently and should have never have happened.

In my artwork “a year like no other”, I explored the topic of COVID-19 that shut down the world to quarantine on March 13th.
I was thinking of the first couple of months of 2020 and how the world stopped. I was more outdoors in the summer away from my screen and I spent more time with my family. While I was in quarantine during the summer I didn’t like it very much but when I look back at the memories I made I miss it. I wanted to dedicate my art to when we were staying home and going on zoom calls and wearing masks. I went on a digital art app that I discover a couple of months ago, it is called ibis paint. I used a stylist on my phone because it’s like drawing instead of using my finger because sometimes I mess up. I did it on my ipad and uploaded it to my phone to turn it in on google classroom. I sketched a circle and used an online circle ruler to make it neat. Then I colored it blue and make land colored green, then I drew a white mask on it to show how the whole world is wearing masks to prevent COVID.

Why I made my year like no other piece was because I wanted to show how much 2020 has changed the world and how BLM changed everything and some lives we lost during 2020. The theme was about me and how I felt a little pressured to go by what people wanted me to think or forget (the BLM part) I got attacked once for supporting ALM(all lives matter) and was told how it did not make sense for a black person to not support BLM. The words on the ceiling and on the walls was about the Covid vaccine and Covid itself. What I meant by “is that with the mark of the beast it would never be normal” is about how people are marking themselves with the vaccine (the beast) and how a vaccine wont make things normal (especially since a vaccine should take 16 years to make not 6 months).
Van Antwerp Middle School
In my artwork, “A Year Like No Other,” I explored the theme of the movement Black Lives Matter (BLM) that started in 2020 in response to the brutal unnecessary death of George Floyd. George Floyd’s death impacted a lot of people with started the BLM (Black Lives Matter) protest so this will never happen again. Another theme I explored is the wildfires in California and Australian bushfires. In California, the fires burned 37 acres of land. The bushfires in Australia burned 46 million acres of land and lasted for 240 days. The other theme I explored is the worldwide pandemic covid-19. Covid-19 affected 92 million people and 2 million people died to . So many people got affected and so many people protest. Another topic I wanted to go over is that Trump is the first president who got impeached twice. The last topic I wanted to go over is that a lot of celebrities including Chadwick Boseman which acted for Black Panther, xxxtentacion who is a famous rapper, Kobe Bryant who was a famous basketball player, etc. These are the ideas I got for my artwork. The overall design of my artwork is revolving around BLM (black lives matter), Donald Trump got impeached twice, wildfires including bushfires, celebrities’ deaths, and Covid-19.

In my artwork, ¨A year like no other¨ I wanted to capture everything that happened in 2020. I decided the best way for me to capture all of the topics was by using a collage. We have never done a collage before so I was very excited to do this. I at first was only going to focus on black lives matter but then I thought about everything else that happened in 2020. I then decided that I really wanted to show everything that happened in 2020. I went back and forth trying to decide if I wanted to draw 2020 0r if I wanted to do a collage about 2020. I decided on a college because I felt that I could find better ways to really express 2020 through digital photos. Once I decided I got started. First I downloaded the app ¨Pic collage¨ and then I brainstormed exactly what I wanted to talk about. I decided on Covid-19,BLM,and politics. I then googled photos and saved them to my phone. I then went onto ¨Pic Collage¨ and inserted the photos. Then I decided how overlapped I wanted the photos and how big or small I wanted the photos to be. The meaning of the final piece is just to bring awareness to everything that happened this year in 2020.

In my artwork, “A Year Like No Other”, I explored several themes such as COVID-19, Presidents, Election, Inauguration, etc. Whenever I think of 2020-21, the first thing that pops into my mind is COVID-19. Then I thought about the events that are happening that relate to politics. I did my artwork using a website. The type of artwork that I did is a “Word Art” or a “Word Cloud.” The website I use is https://wordart.com/. First, I brainstormed words that relate to the topics / themes I chose and typed them. Second, I chose the size of the text of each word. Third, I chose the color of the text of each word. Fourth, I chose the shape of my word art. Fifth, I chose the font. Then I clicked on the button to create it, and...Done! It looked really nice :)

In my artwork, “A year like no other,” I focused on multiple themes and they were black lives matter, the presentational election, the assault capital, and covid-19. I came up with these ideas by thinking about what really affected 2020 and made it what it is today. I created this artwork by inserting images in the slides and also making them generic by making spaces and not all perfectly lined up. The meaning of the final piece I made trying to encapsulate what major events happened in 2020.

My “year like no other” design is about the important events that happened in 2020 and 2021. The theme of my artwork is political and uplifting. When we first got our project assignment I knew I wanted to incorporate some different components into the design. I wanted my design to be uplifting and have all these positive quotes about 2020 and 2021. I also wanted to incorporate some political aspects to my piece too. I did a few parts about the election for my political piece. When I created this artwork I used a pencil, ruler, sharpie, and colored pencils. I also had to look up some positive quotes to write down and use in my artwork (I gave the person who wrote these quotes credit). My piece is meant to mean that 2020 was a hard year but we pulled through and made it to 2021. I hope you enjoyed my artwork!

In my Art work, ¨A year like no other¨, I focused on BLM, Coronavirus, Legends Lost in 2020 and Politics. I collected images off of google and printed the pictures out and put them into a collage. I decided to choose all of these events because a lot of these I felt personally. Black lives matter was obviously something that affected me personally because I´m black and this type of stuff shouldn´t be happening now. Coronavirus affected everyone world wide and was probably the most impactful event of 2020 carrying into 2021. And Legends we lost in 2020 affected everyone, People world wide were impacted by Kobe´s Death. Everyone in the Rap community lost 2 of some of the best young rappers, Pop Smoke and Juice WRLD. And personally I lost someone that was close to me Jerry Arul. And another Big thing in 2020 was Politics. In the last couple months all you see on the news and social media is politics. We have a New President, Joe Biden, the first Female and African American Vice president. And then President trump got his Second Impeachment. That was the first time a President has been impeached twice.

In my artwork, “A Year Like No Other,” I included topics like Black Lives Matter, the election, COVID-19, the stock market crash, the Australian wildfires, and Kobe Bryant’s death. I thought of all the things that happened this year and compiled them into a drawing. For the drawing, I used pencil, marker, and colored pencils. To represent COVID-19, I drew a mask, for the election, I drew a Trump 2020 sign and a Biden 2020 sign, For Black Lives Matter, I drew a black and yellow sign that said BLM on it, for the stock market crash I drew a graph declining, for the Australian wildfires, I drew a fire, and for Kobe Bryant’s death, I drew a basketball with his name on it.

“I raise my voice not so I can shout, but so that those without a voice can be heard. We cannot succeed when half of us are held back.” -Malala Yousafzai. I based my artwork off of women equality. This past year has been hard for me to become confident in myself. There are so many stereotypes for girls that have become so heavy on my shoulders. I get self conscious about how I look, what I wear, makeup, friend groups, etc. So many girls are dealing with these manipulative opinions that somehow “shape” female society. Mascara, cute clothes, newest trends, instagram selfies… all these “newest in” things. I hope my artwork portrays the fact that religion, clothing, skin color, and more does not define a person. We are all unique in our own way and that is what makes each and every person absolutely awesome.
I used a digital art app that I have to create this digital illustration art. Then I simply added text over the drawing to conclude.

4.2 million acres were burned in California and North America as of December 3rd of 2020. The wildfires destroyed many homes, properties and towns. They tore up the woods and filled the sky with smoke. In my drawing I did not draw myself with a mask, this was a photo of a kid wearing a mask. The mask represents the pandemic that we are in. Everyone right now is wearing a mask to keep themselves and others safe. The fire on the mask is covering the tree showing how the fire swallowed the trees and space. The black background of the mask represents the smoke from the fire and everything that was burnt down during the wildfires.

In my artwork, I wanted to try and capture the feelings of loneliness and isolation that many people had suffered with through quarantine. I chose this topic because during the quarantining, it was extremely hard to see anyone besides the people in the same house as you. We had to switch to doing everything online, and only being able to interact with people through a screen. It was a very difficult time because you weren’t able to see friends, and even the people closest to you. I wanted to represent a life where the days blended together, and the routine was the same as always with nothing else to do. In the image there is a computer open in their room to show how almost everything became virtual during this time. The room is very messy which was trying to show how some people felt as their lives became disorganized and couldn’t control it. I drew this digitally, purposefully using messy strokes and a pencil brush when drawing to show more chaos within the room.

I decided to make my reflection mainly about COVID 19, but I added other things like black lives matter and police brutality. I chose these because they have impacted almost everyone in the world’s lives including mine. Everyone has had a struggle with covid, for example, a lot of small businesses that don’t sell online aren’t getting as many customers. on the other hand, a lot of people have started to open their own online businesses that have been thriving. I decided to do the statue of liberty with a mask on for the main aspect of this because COVID 19 has affected a lot of people in New York and we have had one of the worst covid rates in the country.

I was inspired to make this drawing because of everything that has happened in 2020. It was mostly about masks and virtual school. I wanted to show all of the technical problems that occurred with the google meets and I also wanted to show some of the rules that we had to follow during the crisis. The words kinda represented all of the bad with covid. The pictures I hoped to show that even though we had to wear masks it wasn’t all bad. We were mostly able to see friends even if we did have to wear masks. The pictures were representing the good.
Van Antwerp Middle School
My idea in making this artwork was to capture the anxiety this pandemic and 2020 in general has been causing people. This piece is supposed to represent the mind of someone in 2020 everything is in a spider web because many people with anxiety have described it as their brain feeling like a spider web representing many different thoughts if different directions get “stuck” in their brain. The pictures in the spider web are supposed to represent people's thoughts such as concerns about money, the health of older family members, and uncertainty about the election and potentially violent protests not to mention climate change, police brutality, and domestic violence as well as isolation. There was definitely a lot of chaos in 2020 and I hope all of the anxiety caused by this pandemic will shed light on the severity of mental health concerns everywhere.

This picture incorporates many difficult things that have happened in the year 2020. A person is looking out the window because they have been quarantined and are wishing to go outside, but being outside is not all that it appears to be. The upper right corner of the window shows the Corona Virus. The viruses are wearing masks to symbolize how everyone has had to wear masks wherever they go. The bottom right corner of the window shows the wildfires that have happened throughout the Western United States in the past year. The bottom left corner depicts the election and controversies surrounding politics. And finally, the upper left corner sums up the COVID-19 experience and the feelings that have come along with it. It shows the anger and frustration with the precautions needed to be taken to prevent COVID-19. Hopefully, we will be able to put all of this behind us, and focus on making 2021 a great year!

In my work, I tried to exemplify themes of ideas from the past year. Such as Covid-19, the election, BLM protests, etc. I picked these ideas because they had a big impact on the world. This year we’ll have gone through the toughest events in our lives, pandemics, protests, and much more. I think I can all finally see a light at what seemed like a never-ending tunnel. I hope you can see that light too.

I believe that COVID-19 has had one of the biggest impacts on the world in 2020/2021. I drew this to show one way COVID-19 has impacted the world. I put the mask next to the keys and phone because they are typically things you might keep in your pocket. This shows how a mask has become something you carry in your pocket/a necessity.
Van Antwerp Middle School
In my artwork, “A Year Like No Other”, the theme of my artwork was this year as a whole. I made a collage with some big events from 2020. For example, wearing masks and social distancing. Also, school closing down and having to go online. There are some other things like the Black Lives Matter protests and the 2020 election. The main color theme was black and white, with a big 2020 in the middle. The meaning of my artwork was to show and represent all the events that happened in 2020.
Van Antwerp Middle School
For my reflection piece, I focused on a variety of different topics including the Black Lives matter act and protests, the election, Coronavirus, the Muslim concentration camps in China, and murder hornets. For the background, you can see there are the days of the week all scrambled up. I did this because it felt like every day was the same thing over and over again. I also originally had the background white with black lettering but decided to change it because I felt that 2020 was a very dark year.
Van Antwerp Middle School
The theme of my artwork is how COVID has affected sports. There have been many changes in sports over the past year and I showed that in the collage I made. I felt like this has been an important topic in my life and other people’s lives in the last year, so I chose to make something that represented it. To make the collage, I found images that were about sports and COVID. Then, I put those together on a google slide. I included some things like masks, hand sanitizer, sporting events that have happened recently, and the sad death of Kobe Bryant.
Van Antwerp Middle School
My artwork mainly focuses on the election and politics. It also represents BLM and the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. I choose these topics because it really represents 2020. I collected images online and I put them into a google drawing.

I made this piece of artwork because it describes the pandemic. Without my friends and family I wouldn’t be the same. More self consequence, feeling alone, the feeling that I’m not good enough, I would be in that tough position without them. They were the reason I am not in the dark hole of self doubt, my friends and family.

My drawing represents me thinking about every major thing that has happened during 2020 and 2021. The Biden, Harris vs Trump and Pence represents the election for who would become the new President and Vice President. The mask represents Covid and how I have to wear a mask whether I go. The Black Lives Matter sign represents police cruelty and George Floyd. The chromebook represents how we have been having to do virtual things like school. The house represents me being quarantined in my house for the whole summer and me getting a new house.

In my artwork “A year like no other” I used themes such as Coronavirus, the 2020 presidential election, Australian bushfires, and black lives matter. I chose the themes based on how much it affected the world. I created the artwork by making a slide and putting pictures in the top, bottom, and sides but leaving the corners for the number 2020. Each corner had one number going in order.
Van Antwerp Middle School
I made a digital collage of a lot of different images. One picture I had was of a covid graph because I have had a lot of stress about people close to me getting sick. Another thing I had was images of BLM protests because I think racial justice is very important for our society. The last thing I had was images of the election. This was important to me because this was the first election where I knew a lot about the candidates and how states vote and it was just really interesting to see how things ended up. I also added an image of covid vaccines to show that there is still hope.
Van Antwerp Middle School
I based my artwork on my view of the events during the pandemic. The words and images represent how it felt like everything was swarming around me. The three main pictures show how isolated I felt. The words are meant to be reminding of the pandemic like wash, loss, movies, election, silver lining, and mask. The pictures are memories I have from the pandemic like dance on zoom, the toilet paper shortage and lots of texting.
Van Antwerp Middle School
The theme of my art piece is things that have happened throughout 2020. I used images that represented what happened. I think that there was a lot that happened and some that were questionable, like no toilet paper. The images are images that have really stuck out to me in 2020 and things that I think were very important things to look at or to listen about.

The theme of my artwork is everything that has been happening in the past year. We have had a global pandemic, many protests, elections, concentration camps, online school, wildfires, and injustice all stuffed into one year. I wanted to include pieces of each of these in my artwork. Covid has affected us in many widespread ways. There have been lockdowns, record unemployment, schools shutting down, and virtual school. The Black Lives Matter Protests have brought a new light onto injustice and police brutality this year. The election has been a really historic event with the first woman and minority vice president, the storm on the capitol, and extensive recounts.

In this artwork, I represent the many reflections I have had over the past few months. For example, the TV with the news on, during this year me and my family are watching the news - A LOT. The mask on the boy has different stickers on it representing the many different troubles and worries we have had this year, for example, the climate change sticker and the coronavirus sticker. In addition, the glasses on the boy are images of the coronavirus. This represents that no matter where we look, we are always thinking about it.

I chose to make a collage for my Reflections assignment. I chose the topic of 2020-2021. It’s been a really hard time and many people have been overwhelmed, scared, nervous, etc. The BLM protests, LGBTQ+ protests, Covid-19, The Election, the attack on the Capitol. Many innocent lives have been taken away, and this year is a year that will go down in history. School has been overwhelming sometimes, and motivation has been gone. But hopefully things will get better.

I decided to draw four women, specifically in politics, that played a big role in influencing me and other girls and women. I felt like this reflected on 2020 because so much has happened with the women’s rights movement over the course of a year and these women also fought for a lot of things that affected 2020. I chose four personal heroes, Malala Yousafazai, Hillary Clinton, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Greta Thunberg.

My reflection is all about the year 2020. 2020 was a really crazy year. First, there was covid-19. Everything was different and felt like chaos! Then, the election. The result brought comfort for those who supported Biden, but everyone else, not so much. Overall, I wanted my reflection to represent everything we have been through in the past year, and hopefully, by the end of 2021, we will have made a recovery!

All of these pictures are based on the events over the past year. I chose these pictures to show how much has changed since the start of COVID- 19. I included pictures from BLM, Masks, The presidential election, but there are lots of more things that happened in 2020-2021.

Some of the topics that connect to my artwork are changes in school, and COVID-19. I showed the topic changes in school through how we went from in-person schooling to using chromebooks and google classroom remotely. I also showed the google meet icon, which we use for classes every day. I used a picture of a mask to show how COVID-19 affected the world, making masks a must for school. I also showed a picture of the COVID-19 vaccine, which is currently being distributed and making the world more normal. My creative process was I was trying to capture all of the big changes that happened over the course of the past year, in both the world and school.

The reason I made it like this is because I want to show how we passed 2020 and its problems but also came with us too. So it is like we passed the finish line but other things that happen in 2020 passed the finish line too. It is showing how what happened in 2020 had bad repercussions. 2020 made us feel different emotions and different events, and it has affected many people. So I thought I should show what happened that had a big impact on the world and the U.S.A. and also show the emotions of those things happening to us.

Over the course of the year a lot has happened. And almost all of it was bad in some way. So in my piece I decide to make a collage of all of those bad things. My first image was one of the violence caused by the BLM movement. The next is the Coronavirus and the following lockdown and quarantine along with the mask-wearing. Next is the Unemployment which spiked around march and April. And then to top it all off in this crazy year we got a new president. Looking back this real was a year like no other.

In my artwork “Comfort in Creatures” I show personal changes in my life like my cat passing away from a battle with cancer infection, and getting a pet rabbit named Blackberry. The Photos are all photos from over the past year. About three months after my cat, Frazzle was put down after a cancer infection we got Blackberry, a cute and mischievous black rabbit from some friends that were fostering him. Overall this was a sentimental year paced with grief and loss.

For my reflections project, I chose to do a collage about our transition from physical learning (In-person, using paper and pens, etc.) to learning using almost 100% technology (google meets, taking notes in google docs, google forms instead of normal tests, etc.) because ever since covid we have been using technology more than ever. I do my schooling, grocery shopping, sports practices, and more all on my phone with google meet and other apps. We use our phones, Ipads, and computers more than ever now in this modern world.

In my artwork, “A Year Like No Other,” I focused on politics and climate change. I chose these topics because I am very passionate about politics and climate change. Both of these topics were also very big in 2020. There was a lot of craze about politics because of the presidential race between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s death, and the black lives matter movement. Also in 2020, the climate crisis had a big impact on the earth, because people are starting to take action to combat climate change. Also partially because of climate change wildfires in California ravaged four million acres of land.

For my reflection project, I decided to make a collage of the things that you might have forgotten about. When I was looking at the reflections website I noticed that a lot of them were about the same things. So I tried to remember some things that weren’t on the website and this is what I came up with. Whether it was because so much other stuff was happening or because it seems like it didn’t even happen in the last year this is a collection of things I forgot happened in 2020.

For my project I focused on mostly Black Lives Matter protests. I wanted to focus on BLM protests because it doesn’t directly affect me, but I do believe in equal rights for everyone. This collage is made up of media of different protests for BLM. But for areas like the mask, it is made up of media for covid 19. For The red in the background, it represents all of the people who died from racist acts and how they shouldn’t be forgotten like George Floyd and Martin Luther King Jr although there are many others. I want these brutal, racist acts to be remembered, though, so history doesn’t repeat itself.

For my reflections project I chose specific items to represent specific events over the last year. The Hand sanitizer to symbolize the virus. The fact that it is nearly full symbolizes our hesitancy to accept the fatality of COVID. The BLM mask represents the black lives matter movement and all that it represents (I'm sure that was incredibly hard to guess) The vote pin symbolizes the election of 2020. Last of all the rainbow, which has become a common symbol of hope and perseverance all across the world signifies the hope and joy we have all held onto through this dark time. It also represents all of the heroes who put their lives on the line every single day to protect us. They are the reason I have hope for the future.

My drawing represents a mind full of things. The things that happened in 2020, and continued on to 2021. It shows the chaos and havoc. And the mind full of them, filled.
It shows how people would feel with so many thoughts of chaos in their minds. Their minds are full of all those thoughts, and they have no room for others.
It also represents how much chaos is going on in the world.

For my artwork I chose many things. Some of the things I chose were politics covid-19, online school, blm protests, and a police honor American flag. I chose these things because these were really important things in 2020. These things made 2020 a crazy year. These were the most important things in 2020 to me.

The theme of my artwork is Covid-19 and the tragedies that have happened in the year of 2020. All of the people that were lost in 2020 are unimaginable. Covid hit at one of the worst times, during a huge political battle between two parties and the protests of BLM. Could not have happened at a worse time. Besides the people we lost from Covid, there were some great people who did not deserve to die.

For my project I did a collage on all of the things that happened in 2020. Trump vs. Biden, Coronavirus pandemic, BLM protests, Australian bush fires, Chadwick Boseman and Kobe Bryant’s deaths, and more. These were all very important and historical events that happened in 2020. Some of these were hard to get through, but we made it through!

In this artwork, I used the theme “COVID-19” and some of the other things around that topic. I wanted to show some sort of comparison of before and during the pandemic, so I chose polaroids. One of the images (labeled 2019) shows two friends hugging each other, while the other one (2021) shows 2 people wearing masks and waving from afar. I thought that this really showed the impact of COVID-19 on our lives and social distancing. Surrounding the polaroids, I drew some hand sanitizer, a mask, and a 6 feet marker sticker that they put in public places. I made a thumbnail sketch to figure out the placement of all the objects, then I drew it bigger. I added lineart, then used my alcohol based markers and colored pencils to color it in. As you can see, COVID-19 has had a big impact on all of our lives, and I wanted to represent that with this piece.
