Grade 7 Gifted and Talented student, Nada did this assignment as a part of the "What Matters to You?" TED Talk Unit. The challenge enhanced her learning by allowing her to dig deep into a topic that is meaningful to her and motivates an audience to take action. Students had to research, write, and deliver the talk with visual elements.
The NIS Girls’ basketball team is the Dubai Affiliated School Sports Association (DASSA) Champion! DASSA is the largest and longest-running school sports association in the UAE, and we are proud to be part of it. Our amazing athletes secured first place in their group after winning all five matches. Our Coach Ms. Abigail guided our team, and her dedication only ensured our girls brought home the Championship.
The NIS Boys’ football teams are the Dubai Affiliated School Sports Association (DASSA) Champions! The DASSA is the largest and longest-running school sports association in the UAE, and we are proud to be part of it. Our amazing students in the U19 group played five matches and won three of them. The U16 group won all five games they played, while the U14 group played five matches and won two of them. We are so happy that the hard work of our students and the dedication of our coach, Head of PE, Mr. Chris, has resulted in so much success. We cannot wait to celebrate more of their wins!
Beach Canteen concert
We believe in nurturing all student talent at our school as well as giving them opportunities to find and develop their passions.
Meet one of our talented students, Elya. This Grade 5 student is an amazing singer, who has also been pursuing educational credit in music outside of NIS. She recently participated in the 'Beach Canteen Concert', where she was able to wow audiences with her performance.
Elya's favorite singer is Ariana Grande, and we are sure she can be just as successful as her one day!
Khalid's Poetry
As an International Schools Partnership (ISP) School, we recognize that Poetry is an important part of developing a child’s language skills. To support the development of this literacy tool, and to celebrate the UAE’s 50th National Day, ISP launched the ISP Poetry Competition.The competition was open to all students in the UAE, encouraging them to use Poetry to express their love for the country we all call home. We are proud to share that Khalid has been recognized as the winner from Nibras International School.

Our amazing teachers always go above and beyond on every level. We are proud to announce that our art teacher, Ms. Camille, finished a Post Graduate Certification in Career Development with Edinburgh Napier University. Ms. Camille is now certified to do Career orientation and counseling. Congratulations! She will continue encouraging our students to express themselves through art in her classes and to follow their passions. Ms. Camille is a great inspiration to our community, modeling the importance of being a lifelong learner.
As part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP), we are proud to announce the recipients of the first Federico Olivie Fund. The seven accomplished recipients hold teaching and non-teaching positions within ISP Schools in the Middle East.Here is what she would like to share with us: “I am privileged to be working for a company that places an emphasis on continuous professional development. This course, Responsive Classrooms, focused on student wellbeing and academic and social development, is really going to support the next steps of school improvement at NIS. It will also provide students with further opportunities to develop their voice and choice in learning. I hope to support my school in delivering even better student outcomes, with what I learn during this course.”
Beda the brave- NIS teacher published her first book for children.
Our amazing teacher, Ms. Kettia Dolcine has written and published a book. “Beda the Brave’, is about – Beda, an adventurous and fearless girl who uses her brainpower to explore the world.
Ms. Kettia is a Haitian-American writer, who has taught in elementary schools around the world. We are proud that she is a teacher at NIS.
