Hello! I am Mr.Barton and I am honored to serve as the Orchestra Director here at C.W Worthington Middle School. As an educator, my greatest passion is sharing the gift of music with the next generation. I am deeply committed to creating an environment where every student feels supported, challenged, and empowered to reach their highest potential both on and off the stage.
My journey in music began right here in Northwest ISD. As a proud alumnus, I am a firsthand product of the incredible educational foundation this district provides. My time as a student here instilled in me the core values of communication, determination, and a lifelong love of learning—values that I strive to model for my students every single day.
I went on to earn my Bachelor of Arts(Music) from Oklahoma City University, where I refined my craft and developed a pedagogical approach centered on student growth and success.
Before stepping into the role of Head Director, I spent several years as a strings private lessons instructor. This experience allowed me to work closely with students of all levels, helping them find their unique voice through their instrument. Transitioning into the classroom has been an incredible journey, and I am thrilled to be entering my second year as Orchestra Director this Fall 2026.
To the parents and families of our orchestra program: thank you for trusting me with your student’s musical education. My door is always open, and I look forward to another year of beautiful music, hard work, and watching our students grow into confident, skilled musicians.
