10.19.18- Mrs. Polk read "The Day the Crayons Quit" to each kinder class and they participated in an enrichment activity following the book!
Kinder students participated in a special reading celebration put on by their teachers "The Vowel Queens!" Mr. Booles and Mrs. Sample also joined in on the celebration and red to each kindergarten class!

5th grade students worked to find out the cause of the Boston Tea Party. Their rooms were transformed and their teacher were too! At the end of the week, two special visitors came to share their sides of the story! Ask your child about this experience!

What do you want to be when you grow up? Dr. Thornell-Deputy Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction for NISD set a goal to read to ALL first grade classes in NISD. Today he read, When I Grow Up- by Al Yankovic to all of our 1st grade longhorns and gave each first grade teacher a copy. Ask your child about their favorite part of the book and what they would like to be when they grow up!
