Reading is an important skill for a scientist!
We read for a variety of needs. Sometimes for information, or to cross-check facts. For research or connect ideas to facts. Often we read to be inspired by historic scientific discoveries....and even to be inspired by futuristic, fictitious ones.
We want to encourage reading with each Science Snack episode. To help you out, we curated a digital list on Epic! And are making recommendations of some our favorites as teachers, parents and scientists!
We will share reading collections on the digital resource, Epic! This is a free resource for students to access on their NISD portal. Your teacher may have to share a classroom code to access. There is also a purchase option for caregivers and families. Check out Epic!
