Mrs. Ashley Grant is in her 8th year of teaching at Leo Adams Middle School in Northwest ISD. She was raised in North Richland Hills, and currently lives in Haslet, Texas with her husband, Matthew Grant. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University where she Majored in Music Education. During her time at Texas Tech she was a council member of the ACDA chapter and was an Apprentice for the University Singers. She also Co-Directed the West Texas Children's Choir, taught voice lessons, and supplemental taught at various Lubbock ISD schools. She frequently is sought out to clinic various Honor, Region, and Local Choirs. In 2023 she received the Texas Choir Director Association Young Director of Distinction award.
She has a passion for teaching kids and is blessed to be able to teach incredible young musicians every day. Some of her favorite hobbies are spending time with family, traveling, working out, hosting get togethers with her friends, and gardening.
Mrs. Emily Cowan is entering her 4th year at Adams Middle School! She is from Trophy Club, Texas, and went to middle and high school here in Northwest ISD! She now lives in Roanoke with her husband, Connor Cowan. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with her music education degree and immediately decided to return to the district she came from. She's been passionate about choir since she was a little kid and loves passing her passion to the next generation of singers! She is a mega nerd who loves watching movies and reading books, so feel free to tell her about anything you may be nerding out about currently. I can’t wait to meet everybody and am so excited to get started this year!
