What We Are Learning About

Reading: We are finishing up learning about fairy tales! Soon we will be writing our own versions of our favorite fairy tales!

Writing: In writing, the students are working on chapter books. They will also be re-writing a fairy tale; trying to make it a Texas version. These new versions will be read as a readers theater activity. Can't wait to see their creativity!

Social Studies: We are entering into our economics unit for social studies. We will discuss needs and wants, goods and services, how to make a choice to spend or save money, and what the difference is between a producer and consumer.

Math: We will spend time reviewing financial literacy and will be getting ready for the 2nd grade!

Science: In science we will learn all about plants! We will be labeling plants, learn about the plant life cycle, and do a few Lima bean experiments!
