What are we learning?

Readers Workshop: Our first unit of reading talks about how students can build good reading habits .

Writers Workshop: We will be practicing how to write a small moment story. We will be taking a big watermelon story, and turning them into small seed stories with small details.

Math: We will begin unit 1 of our Origo curriculum. You have your student workbooks at home to help facilitate this learning. In unit 1 we will be diving into place value with tens and ones, tens frames, and putting numbers in order from least to greatest.

Science: We will begin discussing what makes a scientist and how to make scientific observations.

Social Studies: We are learning about how to be a good citizen and community member, whether in person or in a digital environment.
