Health Informatics supports the proven & effective methods utilised at primary care sites in order to identify potentially eligible participants for research opportunities. The aim of the PRIDES service is to standardise the Health Informatics development and sharing processes currently undertaken by RRDN staff, GP practices and study teams in order to support studies delivered in primary care settings. The benefits of the standardisation of this work include ensuring each and every study engaging with PRIDES identifies the individuals for invitation to research opportunities in a consistent manner via the design of tools capable of interrogating the rich coded data in our Electronic Health Records against the set inclusion and exclusion criteria for each study in turn.

WM RRDN are also currently leading the delivery of the PRIDES Hub planned to run until April 2025. The Hub (hosted by WM RRDN and South West Peninsula), is aimed at supporting the integration of the PRIDES Initiative into RRDN business-as-usual processes as well as complementing other NIHR digital continuous improvement activities & services.
