Bennett Institute for Applied Data Science - Open Prescribing
Every month, the NHS in England publishes anonymised data about the drugs prescribed by GPs, but the raw data files are large and unwieldy, with more than 700 million rows. Open Prescribing makes it easier for everyone to explore this data:
Look at Sub-ICB Location - Open Prescribing has identified standard prescribing measures, and created dashboards for every ICB, Sub-ICB Location, and practice in the country
Look at GP practice - Open Prescribing has identified standard prescribing measures, and created dashboards for every GP practice in the country
The Office for National Statistics offer a useful resource enabling analysis of local and national areas of the country utilising a number of different measures. Click here to find out more.
There are a number of measures available within this resource that may prove useful when gauging feasibility data for the purpose of placing studies. Some examples are linked below:
Ethnicity mapping - Click here to access a mapping tool to enable the analysis of population depth by ethnicity at both a local and national level
Disability and General Health mapping - Click here to access a mapping tool to enable the analysis of population depth by gauges including disability and general health at both a local and national level
