PalCaRe NW Networking Event
Getting involved in research: collaboration and
co-operation in palliative care research across NW
When: Friday 19th July, 10am – 3.30pm. Registration and refreshments from 9.15am.
Where: St Catherine's Hospice, Preston (see map below)
Who: Anyone interested in getting involved in or developing palliative care research particularly across Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, Cumbria and Greater Manchester. This includes clinicians (nurses, doctors, allied health professionals, social care professionals), researchers, researcher managers and more. No need to have research experience to attend.
What: Plenary session, and a mix of presentations including bitesize introductions to research in palliative care and current projects with networking opportunities including research development groups. Check back for full programme, outline below.

10am Introduction to PalCaRe NWC
10.15 am Plenary Session .

11.45am: Planning your research - issues to consider: Four to five small group discussions focused on key research issues.
Lunch
1pm: Research masterclass: a series of bitesize presentations.
Coffee
2 pm Research planning discussions. Join one of our research development group discussions (Heart failure, Paediatrics, Education and one for students).
3pm: Wrap up - finish by 3.30pm.
