We believe for health and care research to be effective, we need representation from all communities, in all different types of research, so we know that if something works, it works for everyone.
About us
Who we are
We are a Network of research staff and members of the public from across the Yorkshire and Humber region, working alongside the Clinical Research Network Yorkshire and Humber, with a shared interest in increasing levels of participation in health research within Ethnic Minority communities throughout Yorkshire and Humber.
Our Objectives
To apply lessons learned in the COVID-19 crisis to:
increase the probability of every approach for consent resulting in an informed decision so that recruitment to identified health needs related priority studies can be increased
help improve health outcomes for Ethnic Minority communities
The Clinical Research Network Yorkshire and Humber are the sponsors of this work, which also provide Patient Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) and project support to the group.
