CPMS mainly sends and receives information through the use of bespoke Application Programming Interfaces

Services which receive information from CPMS

• Local Portfolio Management System (LPMS) -  interface to 4 different LPMS systems to get study details from CPMS.

• Open Data Platform (ODP) - interface to provide data for reporting

• Be Part of Research - receives a sub-set of non-commercial studies from the CPMS portfolio

• Sponsor Engagement - receives data about studies so that study sponsors can provide assessments of progress

• Integrated Research Application System (IRAS)

    • HRA Approval

• Reference & Terminology Service (RTS) provides

  • • Organisation, sites and NHS Hierarchy information (retrieved from NHS Digital's Organisation Data Service API)

    • Termset data (the reference/terminology data that appear in  drop down lists within CPMS)

• Research Activity Coordinators upload research activity data directly into CPMS
