This toolkit is designed to support community engagement in health and care research.
It is for use by health and care research staff with responsibilities for public and community engagement, or who want to better engage and involve communities in their work.
If you have any questions about the toolkit, please contact rdncc.ppt@leeds.ac.uk
The Community Engagement in Health and Care Research Toolkit has been developed to provide health and care research staff with easy access to high-quality, reliable information and tools to support community engagement activities.
The toolkit provides key information, guidance, and links to resources that can help plan and implement each stage of a community engagement process in health and care research. The toolkit is not exhaustive and is only intended to act as guidance. The contents should be adapted and tailored to your needs and context.
Please be aware that throughout this toolkit there will be links to external and NIHR-based resources. We cannot be held responsible for any external content, updates or accessibility issues. If you discover that any links or resources do not work or are out of date, please contact the RDN Public Partnerships Team.
Your feedback will help us to continue to improve the toolkit to make sure it supports you to plan and deliver high-quality public involvement and engagement activities. You can tell us what you think of the toolkit and the self-assessment tool by completing this feedback form. Thank you!
