Elements of an Effective Lesson
Instructions:
In your assigned breakout rooms, identify the document in the folder below aligned to your group number.
Reflect on the question: What are the elements of an effective lesson?
Think on your own and jot down as many ideas as you can on your own note-paper, without speaking. (4 minutes)
In your group, take turns sharing your lists. As someone mentions an element that you have on your list, put a star next to that element on your list. When it is your turn, be sure to most emphasize the points that no one else has yet made. (10 minutes)
On the shared document note each of the elements that you all agree must be included in an effective lesson. (One of you may volunteer to make the notes for the group). (5 minutes)
Be prepared to share a few key points from your small group discussion when the full group reconvenes.
