Don't forget to assess your learners with your 2024 CLO Rubric! Fall 2024 CLO assessments are due now. Spring assessments will be due by the end of the term.
What DIID we do in 2024?
Below are some highlights of how we supported you last year!
Responded to over 3,228 Brightspace support requests through our ticketing system and answered over 400 calls through our support phone line. We also responded to over 60 live chats before replacing our live chat in August and developed a quick Google Form to log tickets on the go.
We introduced a new Brightspace Support AI Chatbot that responded to over 517 messages from over 260 users. The team also collaborated with BCS to leverage a chatbot for after-hours community education questions.
Hosted 11 presentations and trainings for faculty and staff on various topics, including Blueprinting, Artificial Intelligence, and Accessibility.
Launched our Quality Course Design review rubric and process and completed over 35 reviews for deans and faculty members.
Acquired a new tool, Scribe, to add over 25 interactive and user-friendly tutorials to our Brightspace Knowledge Base. We also created new Knowledge Base pages to support our new accessibility tool, Panorama, and the Bookstore's Akademos textbook support process.
Helped launch an AI Alliance and presented to students, faculty, and staff on the use of Google Gemini. We also piloted Zoom Meeting Summaries and supported CIS with the Pathify (new MyCampus) roll-out.
DIID team members worked with the deans to develop a course-sharing request process that is already helping full-time, concurrent, and adjunct faculty members share their resources. Team members also contributed to the rewrite of the Academic Integrity Policy in light of rapid changes happening in artificial intelligence.
Four team members were selected to participate in the college's Strategic Planning Initiative. The team also supported various CLASS team assessment initiatives, blueprint training, and developing rubrics and data sets related to common learning outcomes in Brightspace.
We hosted two live streams and uploaded more than 14 videos and six Shorts to our YouTube Channel, Pixelated Pedagogy. Today, all of these videos are available on demand on the channel, including fun Friday After Class interviews that invite faculty to share their passions and talents with the broader campus community.
We updated the Instructor Profile Widget to save screen space by making the "Notes" field collapsable. We also added new widgets (what we like to call "DIIDgits") that expedite many internal DIID processes with not much more than a single click!
