Grading Scale for CBE Courses
Grading Scale for CBE Courses
CBE courses have a different grading scale than non-CBE courses. In CBE, you will receive one of three possible final grades only: A, B, or F (fail). CBE grading is based on mastery of a competency for the grade defined as 80% or above.
To pass EACH module, you must earn a cumulative average score of 80% or higher on all graded items in the module.
To achieve an “A” for the course, you must pass every module of the course and achieve a cumulative average of 90% or above across all modules.
To achieve a “B” for the course, you must pass every module of the course and achieve a cumulative average of 80% - 89.9% across all modules.
Failure to pass any module with at least an 80% score will result in an F grade for the entire course.
