Why is music important?
In Music Appreciation, students will learn the basic vocabulary, notation, and gather an understanding of how music is used in the world today and how it has also impacted the past. Students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to real life situations and be able to show what they know through projects, quizzes, and a variety of other ways. This class is open to any student at NHHS and does not require any pre-requisites.

Students will learn vocabulary to objectively describe aspects of the music they listen too and will critique several music selections.

Students will learn about how music in the past 50 years has been affected by current events and how it has impacted daily life in the United States.
Music in the Workplace
Music in the Workplace
Students will learn how to utilize music in real life scenarios such as a business owner, producer, sales team, or marketing professional may find in the workplace.
