5/1/24: The Howe Scholarship-Local-$2,500 African-American student who is a high school senior graduating from a public high school in a Wilmington, NC metropolitan service area, including the counties of New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, and Columbus. Created to benefit students from Brunswick, Pender, Columbus, and New Hanover Counties, the award is meant to support students pursuing *any* of the building arts & sciences, including architecture, engineering, construction management, electrical engineering, carpentry for buildings and interiors, and the like.   Application

Make sure you fill out the FAFSA your senior year of high school and every year you are in college even if you don't think you qualify many colleges won't give you any scholarships, etc. if you haven't filled this out.

9/30/23: Back to school Scholarship:  150 winners of up to $10,000.  Eligible for university, college, or community college.

There is no specific application for a student to complete to be eligible for first year awards. Eligible candidates have been offered admission to the University of Virginia and satisfy the criteria for receiving a Scholarship.  Eligible candidates are reviewed holistically amongst admissible students.

11/6/23 NCWIT Award For Aspirations in Computing $500 Scholarship honoring  9th-12th grade female students for their computing-related achievements and interests, and encourages them to pursue their passions.

1/1/24- BBB Spark Jr Award-Recognizes current high school students who display entrepreneurship. Either a business operated by a student or a business model developed by a student for future execution will qualify.
