Basic Information

• Dates: 02/05/2024 - 02/26/2024

• This is a state-required, annual assessment of progress for students who are English Language Learners

• The exam includes four parts: listening, speaking, reading and writing

Test Scheduling & Student Attendance

• Parts of the exam will be given on different days due to test timing

• Students will be notified of their scheduled days for the exam prior to the start date.

• It is important that students are at school on their assigned testing date

Student Materials to Bring

• Students are required to bring their school issued laptop for testing. These should be fully charged.

Why is the ACCESS Test Important?

• Students who score well on the ACCESS exam may exit EL identification

• The exam is required by the state of North Carolina and counts toward NHHS's school accountability rating (at least 95% of students must test)
