Why do we Fundraise?

Fundraising is an important part of what allows a PTSA to directly support students, teachers, and the school. The money raised gives the PTSA resources to do things that may not be covered by the school's regular budget.

How fundraising helps the PTSA

• Supports students – Provides scholarships, student activities, celebrations, awards, and special events.

• Supports teachers and classrooms – Helps purchase classroom supplies, educational materials, technology, and items teachers may otherwise have to pay for themselves.

• Funds school programs – Allows the PTSA to sponsor programs, speakers, educational experiences, and enrichment activities.

• Provides grants – Teacher or staff grants can help fund projects that enhance learning and student experiences.

• Creates community events – Fundraising can help pay for family nights, senior events, appreciation events, and other activities that bring families and the school community together.

• Gives the PTSA flexibility – Fundraising provides money the PTSA can use throughout the year when unexpected opportunities or needs arise.

• Strengthens parent involvement – Fundraisers can bring parents, students, teachers, and local businesses together around a common goal.
