AIG Credential Classes:
It is a state and county wide expectation that all students receiving AIG services are placed with a classroom teacher that either has his/her AIG certification from a university or has taken AIG-C class and received NHCS AIG Credentials.
New Hanover County offers AIG credential classes to all teachers. The goal of the credential classes is to ensure that gifted students are recognized as different types of learners who need different types of assignments to foster their intellectual, academic, and social/emotional growth. The course is a combination of face-to-face training and online activities and assessments.
