This will be my tenth year at Castle Hayne, and I’m so excited for the year ahead! I truly believe we all have something valuable to learn from one another, and I’m looking forward to growing alongside my students this year.
To our families—you are your child’s biggest advocate, and I’m eager to partner with you to support a successful and meaningful year for your student.
I’m originally from Wilmington and earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UNCW (Go Seahawks!). Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to teach 5th grade, 4th grade, and I am currently in my fourth year serving as the AIG teacher. I also coach our Science Olympiad team, which is such a fun way to explore curiosity and critical thinking with students!
Outside of school, I enjoy singing and playing guitar, reading, and staying active on the tennis court. I love spending time outdoors with my husband and our dog, and I’m always on the lookout for new places to enjoy live music.
Teaching is something I’m truly passionate about, and I can’t wait to get to know you and share a year full of learning, growth, and fun!
