Meet Mrs. Langley

My name is Alyssa Langley and I'm excited to kick off my 13th year of teaching this year. I love my job and I'm passionate about helping every student grow to reach their potential. In my classroom, you will find your student engaged in a variety of motivating, exciting, and challenging learning opportunities. You will also find that I emphasize the development of independence and self-control as we strive to become global thinkers and learners.

I grew up nearby in the small town of Burgaw and then attended UNC- Chapel Hill where I received a B.A. in Elementary Education and a B.A. in History. Throughout my career, I have served as a UNCW Partnership Teacher to host many field experience students and interns. I'm also a National Board Certified Teacher and a part of NHCS Emerging Leaders.

I've been married to Brian since 2010 and we have three kids, (Madelynn, Lucas, and Ethan), and one dog (Fisher). I love to read, garden, take walks with my family, and travel!
