MATH OVERVIEW:

This year students in sixth grade mathematics will focus on four essential areas in mathematics.

1. Students will be learning to connect ratio and rate to operations with whole numbers.

2. Student will obtain a complete understanding of division of fractions and apply this concept to the system of rational numbers.

3. Students will continue growth in writing and interpreting expressions and equations.

4. Students will further develop their skills in statistical thinking.
