Exploring the IB Learner Profile
Here at Nexus the IB Learner Profile is at the centre of everything we do. During this workshop Fiona Lewis our Head of Primary and Paul Rimmer our PYP coordinator will explore the IB learner profile attributes in more depth to help you understand what they are and why they are important. They will also run through how our essential agreements and the RECIPE support the development of the learner profile. Learn how our teaching teams plan for the learner profile to be taught through our units of inquiry.

THE HABITS OF SUCCESSFUL IGCSE AND IBDP LEARN
Learn more about how Nexus teachers use established neuroscience research to inform learning and teaching. This interactive session will give you practical and science-informed advice on how to support your child towards making greater progress in their learning. This session is open to all interested Nexus parents but is particularly recommended to looking for ways to support their child through the IGCSE or IBDP programs.
Please join us for a face to face session from 6pm -8pm to learn more about our IGCSE programme in Year 10 and Year 11. We welcome you and your child to join us for an overview of the programme and an opportunity to discuss the subjects with our subject specialists.

APAC Junior Achievement Company of the Year Finals 8th- 10th November,
You may recall back in January, team 'Readcycle' took Singapore by storm, becoming ‘The 2021 Junior Achievement Company of Year First runners up!’ The prize should have been an all-expenses paid trip to Jakarta to represent Singapore and Nexus in Asian Pacific Finals, but Covid continues to get in the way! On Tuesday 8th until Thursday 10th November the team are attending the virtual finals to share their business journey with the judges. I believe they have an excellent chance to win, they have an interesting story, they learnt many lessons through the process and created a beautiful product (bookmarks from recycled paper). We wish them the best of luck at this prestigious event, the 4 presenters can be seen below...
