APAC Junior Achievement Finals 8 - 9 November
You may recall back in January, Team ScrapCap took Singapore by storm, becoming the winner of ‘2020 Junior Achievement Company of the Year'! The prize should have been an all-expenses paid trip to the Philippines to represent Singapore and Nexus in the Asia Pacific Finals. However, they will be attending the virtual finals on 8 and 9 November instead.
It is not in Manila, but it is a chance to win at the next level. We believe they have an excellent chance to win and follow in the success of Team Revival. Please wish them luck if you see them. The four learners representing the team are Hugo, Maya, Xavier and Taiga all in Year 13.
As part of our mission to support learners take a productive leadership role in global society we are encouraging them to care for themselves, others and the world and promoting sustainability. We will be running Green Innovation Week in November and recognise that environmental stewardship is part of being a global citizen. Thank you to the learners below who have captured their ideas in the images below. There are opportunities for learners to get involved throughout the week and things to take part in will be shared through the Learner Bulletin and other means. We hope learners will take action and think about how their choices have an impact on the local, national and global environment. If you have a story to share of how sustainability affects your business or how technology is being used to reduce the companies carbon footprint or improve sustainability please let us know. We would welcome short videos or links to resources as we work with learners to show them how wide ranging this can be. Please send anything for the attention of Dr Heather or directly to millington.h@nexus.edu.sg.

From trash to fashion.
As part of our Green Innovation week we invite Primary learners to use recyclable materials and textile waste to create their own bespoke design hats and for Secondary learners to use recyclable materials and textile waste to create their own bespoke outfit.
The only rule is the hats or outfits must not include anything new.
