2020 JA Company of the Year Competition- National Finals

Thank you to all the supporters of ‘ScrapCap’, after selling their entire stock of 200 caps, ScrapCap has now liquidated and is preparing to represent Nexus at the Junior Achievement Company of the Year Finals. They have ‘big boots to fill’ after last year's company, ‘Revival’, won the Singapore Finals and then went on to win the Asia Pacific finals, making them the best company from over 250 companies in the region!

The Junior Achievement ‘Company Programme’ provides a real-life learning opportunity that introduces young people to the realities of the world of work. It is very demanding and it requires learners to set up and run their own student company. It is a 12 week programme, with access to 2 business mentors. They make all the decisions about their business, from deciding on the company name and product to managing the company finances. It is incredible that the team has managed to research the market, innovate a product, produce the product, sell the product all at the same same time as studying IB. Additionally, they have done so well making a healthy profit which they are donating to charity! They have learnt many valuable lessons over the duration and had an unforgettable experience. Wishing them the best of luck for the National finals on Saturday 6 February, a demanding day where the learners get to showcase their product and learning journey. Go ScrapCap!
