Save the date! We are excited to announce that we will be holding the Year 13 Graduation to celebrate the end of our graduates’ high school journey at Nexus!

With the newly announced changes in regulations, we will be able to hold this face to face in our auditorium and will be inviting all the parents, guardians and siblings of Y13, to attend. The formal graduation will be held early evening Friday the 20th May.

We will email further details in due course. The Year 13 learners are currently busy preparing for their final examinations, we can't wait to celebrate with them in May.

Preparations are well underway for Book Week 2022 with a theme this year of 'Imagined Worlds'. If you are looking for some holiday reading material please consider supporting the work of the many authors who will be visiting Nexus during the week:

• Emily Lim -IPPY Award-winning author of books including The Tiger Bunny

• Daryl Kho - Author of "Mist Bount" a stunning adventure about a young person fighting mythical characters to save her Grandpa

• AJ Low - Author and illustrator of the incredibly popular Sherlock Sam series

• Sim Ee Waun - Author of several books on the history of Singapore

Also, if you have a desire to get crafty over the holiday perhaps you could consider starting on your Book Week dress-up outfit. We are asking that all learners across the school come dressed as their favourite fictional character on the 29th April. From Hobbits to Highway Rat we can't wait to see what you come up with.

Please note: The following dates apply for those participants who are in Year 10 and who are already registered for the Award:

Key dates in Term 4:

Tuesday 19th April: Training Session A*. 3.25pm - 5pm

Thursday 28th April: Training Session B *. 3.25pm - 5pm

Participants set off from school at 1pm on the Friday. They are expected to complete their activities at school around 8 or 9 pm and return home to stay overnight. The following day, on the Saturday morning, learners meet again at Bukit Batok MRT station at 8am. They can expect to finish on the Saturday around 4pm. Please look out for additional information in the updated letter that will be sent out today.

*Participants attend one of the two training options together with the rest of their group.

Please note that we have five school closure days in Term 4, these are:

• Thursday, 14 April & Friday, 15 April - Teacher Professional Learning & Good Friday

• Monday, 2 May & Tuesday 3, May - Hari Raya Puasa

• Monday, 16 May - Vesak Day

• Monday , 4 April to Wednesday 13th April Year 10 and Year 12 Trial Exams
