We have lots going on to celebrate Earth Week next week. Take a look at the schedule above to see what will be happening. On Tuesday we are asking all learners to bring in their animal teddies so we can explore how climate change is impacting on all habitats and all creatures. On Friday, we are encouraging all learners to dress as insects to raise awareness of the importance of these awesome mini-beasts to eco-systems around the world.
Beach clean up registration and permission - please complete this by Wednesday, 21 April to get involved in the beach clean up.
Next week our Year 13 learners begin study leave to prepare for their final IB Diploma examinations. Many Year 13 learners have been with us for a long time. I remember Sam arriving at Nexus and joining Nina, Tina and Nicole and Paloma in my Humanities class in Year 8 . The Year 13 group stands out as an impressive group of young people who are caring, hard-working yet curious and always wanting to learn more. We will miss seeing them around school every day and look forward to watching them move on to the next stages of their learning in Singapore and countries as far away as Sweden, Switzerland, Australia and Canada. Best wishes for your exams! All that hard work will pay off. Ms Melanie
When: Tuesday, 20 April, 6pm - 7pm
Our Nexus MYP curriculum in Years 7 to 9 will provide your child with exciting experiences that build on and challenge them as their learning journey continues into the Secondary School. The evening will be a great opportunity to meet our Phase Leaders and find out how we support you and your child as they successfully transition from Year 6 to Year 7. Our Heads of School will also be present to share and answer any questions you may have about the Middle Years Programme (MYP). We strongly encourage all parents of Year 6 learners to join us for this important workshop.
Parents can sign up for the workshop using this link - https://parentworkshops.nexus.edu.sg/
