We have all written our letters to Santa

On Day 1 of #NexusChristmas Advent Calendar, our learners were invited to write their personal letters to Santa and drop them off in a bright orange Nexus Mailbox (designed by our Nexus parents - thank you) throughout the week. Today was the final day for our learners to share their letter with Santa. Rumour has it that there may be a response!

Have you seen our Nexus advent calendar? More information can be found on our NCG page. It's filled with lots of fun activities that you can enjoy as a family as we round up the year.

Christmas Pop-Up Stall: SCRAPCAP

A Year 12 Junior Achievement Initiative.

Earlier this week, on Days 2 & 3 of our #NexusChristmas Advent Calendar, our Year 12s organised their very own #ScrapCap pop-up shop where they sell repurposed caps made from old Nexus uniforms!

Please read their update here. They are also currently running low on old Nexus uniforms (due to high demand - a good thing!) and so would love your support if you can donated any unwanted Nexus school uniforms at Learner Services.

Bug Busting - Competition Results

On Bug Busting Day last week, all learners were given the chance to vote for their favourite logo and poster from the shortlisted 24 entries that were displayed along the atrium walkway on Level 2.

AND THE WINNERS ARE:

GRIFFYN (YEAR 6)

Movember!

As part of MOVEMBER, a movement that aims to save and improve men's lives through projects focused on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention, some of our Nexus teachers have joined in by growing their moustache to raise awareness around men's health.

Last year we raised over $3,500 and this year, we almost doubled the amount with a total of $6,048, with Team NISSMo sitting at #8 on Singapore’s team leaderboard.

Huge shout out goes to Mr Aaron and his team of Primary learners ‘GirlPower@Nexus’ in Years 5 and 6 who collected before school last week and this week. A big thank you, too to everyone who has joined or supported us in this meaningful (albeit hairy) cause!

Update on our Merlion Mural

Our Merlion mural wall on level 2 is coming together! Our Primary learners have been hard at work adding their personal touch to it. We can't wait to see the finished result!
