Nexus Rugby Expand Training Sessions, Friday Morning Now On The Schedule.
Great to have the U16 Sevens rugby squad expand their training to early on a Friday meoning this week. Training started under the lights at 7am with a great turn out of the full squad. The boys trained hard focusing on handling skills, lines of running, off loads and communication. We look forward to the squad continuing to develop their Sevens understanding through the rest of the year.
Elite Swim Team Still Going Strong To Start The Year.
Nexus is proud to offer highly attractive swimming scholarships to eligible talented swimmers, to join our Elite Swim Team. Our Elite Swim Team participates in an intensive and comprehensive training programme which involves dedicating many hours in the pool in order to achieve their personal goals in swimming. We go the extra mile to offer personalised programmes for each swimmer as we believe in maximising the potential of each individual swimmer. Our Swim squad athletes train between seven to ten times per week depending on individual needs and physical development. The swimming programme includes land training such as weights, yoga and Tabata (high intensity short training). The programme is coordinated with a specialist nutritionist and Sports and Exercise Psychologist. Elite swim members are eligible for a free sport package which includes team kit, a daily nutritious breakfast, Olympic swimming clinics and personalised coaching.
