On Wednesday, 20 April we welcomed families of our Y6 learners into school to 'kick off' the Y6 Exhibition.
What is the PYP exhibition?
The exhibition is the culminating, experience of the IB Primary Years Programme.
Learners are asked to bring together their experiences and understanding of the previous years to create an independent inquiry in an area of personal interest and passion.
The idea is for them to document their inquiry journey that will result in a thought provoking experience that will challenge our thinking and perception.
Some key elements of the PYP exhibition for learners are:
• to engage in a personally meaningful inquiry
• to demonstrate agency
• to take action
• to demonstrate attributes of the IB learner profile
• to consider and explore perspectives
• to demonstrate their learning agility
• to challenge others
• to celebrate the end of their PYP journey

CIS/WASC and IB Accreditation
This week many member of our Nexus community have taken part in our CIS/WASC and IB accreditation visit.
Peers from other international schools carried out a virtual visit with a view to helping us on our self-improvement journey.
CIS/WASC and IB accreditation enable us to hold ourselves to robust international standards that make sure we have clear purpose and direction while looking after learner's wellbeing and learning and set them up as global citizens.
Thank you to those of you involved this week, as well as those who completed the survey last year. Your input is hugely important to us.
We look forward to sharing the results of the accreditation visit when they are known to us.

Very exciting to have the Secondary Choir plus vocal soloists from across the school, including 3 from Primary. I have to admit I got the nerves sometimes as this is our first real live choir concert for 2.5 years!
We have battled through having to sing with masks on, our choir limited to 20 learners only, another singing ban, lockdown again, singing 3 metres apart and finally last all restrictions lifted. It felt wonderful to be mask less and singing our hearts out to our family and friends in the audience.
It was a wonderful evening bursting with talent combining traditional nursery rhymes such as 'This Old Man' to Disney classics, traditional French songs and much much more.
A huge thank you to our Primary vocalists Lineea, Daisy and Lilly who represented Primary and sang beautifully.
