Dear Parents and Caregivers
It's been yet another fantastic couple of weeks in our Primary School, with things humming along as busy as ever. Year 6 are entering their final preparations for Exhibition and the Primary Music Concert (our Recent Events tab has some lovely pictures) was an absolute treat for everyone that was able to come along and listen. It's hard to believe we started this year wearing masks as we now reflect back on the extraordinary accomplishments of our learners. Before the year wraps up take a moment to reflect with your child on their growth and achievements, on how much they have developed and the skills they have learnt. Take a look at our News from the Year Groups tab as the teams reflect on the past year too.
At this time of year we always have to say farewell to some of our Nexus family, from Primary we are saying goodbye to Ms Claire in LOTE, Ms Hayley in Learning Support, Ms Susan in Year 1, Ms Natassja in Music, Mr Brian in Year 3, Mr Chris in Music and Ms Paulina in Learning Support. Ms Pia will no longer be with us full time but we will continue to see her around. We send these wonderful educators on with our love, support and appreciation. Thank you for being part of our family and for everything you have done to support our learners. We wish you well as you move forward on the next part of your journey.
With the end of term drawing near we are experiencing a lot of sickness and bugs. If your child is unwell please keep them home until they are symptom free for 24 hours. We have also had some repeated incidences of Hand Foot and Mouth, this usually affects our younger learners but can impact older children too. If your child has a confirmed case of Hand Foot and Mouth, please let us know so we can ensure the learning spaces are deep cleaned and parents are advised to keep an eye out for symptoms, for more information please see out Important Notices tab.
If you are moving on at the end of this academic year - we wish you well, please complete a withdrawal form (found on the Parent Portal), to enable us to plan appropriately for next year. Please also be reminded that we finish at 12:00 midday on the last day of term, Friday, 16 June.
If you are celebrating Vesak Day this weekend we wish you and your family, peace, unity and joy on your holy day. The ideals behind Vesak day resonate with us all as we look towards a harmonious and peaceful global future and strive to show kindness and compassion.
Best wishes
Fiona Lewis

Have a wonderful long weekend.
