Calculators in the IBDP

All learners need a graphic display calculator (GDC) for mathematics. Learners following the applications & interpretation SL course will use their calculator regularly in class and in both papers for the final examination. Learners following the analysis & approaches SL & HL courses will also use their calculator regularly in class. SL learners have one calculator paper and one non-calculator paper for the final examination. HL learners have two calculator papers and one non-calculator paper for the final examination.

At Nexus, we ask IBDP learners to buy the Texas Instruments Ti-nspire CX or CX II graphics display calculator. The Computer Algebra System (CAS) versions are not allowed.

We ask that all learners come to every mathematics lesson with their GDC, which should be fully charged.
