An exciting real-world learning opportunity is planned for Year 12 Business Management students. An insightful trip to the Yakult Factory is scheduled for Monday, 21st April, which will be followed by a group lunch at Captain Kim Korean BBQ. This excursion is designed to provide a valuable chance for students to see Operations Management principles (part of the Term 4 curriculum) applied in a real production facility. Connections to branding and marketing strategies (from Term 3) will also be explored. A guided tour offering a look at Yakult's processes is included, alongside hands-on activities and team bonding over lunch. Key Trip Information:
What: Year 12 Business Management Trip to Yakult Factory & Group Lunch
When: Monday, 21 April 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Where: The visit will be held at the Yakult Factory (7 Senoko Ave), followed by lunch at Captain Kim Korean BBQ (Junction 10).
Attire: The standard school uniform is required to be worn.
Transport: Transportation will be provided via a Nexus bus.
Learning Focus: Practical applications of Operations Management (Term 4 curriculum) and Branding/Marketing Strategies (Term 3 curriculum) will be observed.
Activities: A guided factory tour, hands-on learning activities, a group lunch, and a required post-trip reflection are included in the schedule.
Cost: A contribution of $20 cash per student is required for the buffet lunch. All other expenses associated with the Yakult visit will be covered by Nexus.
Permission Form: Permission forms must be completed and returned no later than Friday, 18th April.
Supervision: Students will be accompanied and supervised by all Business and Economics teaching staff.
Important Note: Students in the class who are not attending the trip are required to report to school for independent work during this time.
