Your child’s Semester 1 Learning Summary was published on Wednesday. You are able to view it via the Parent Portal on Engage. To access the Parent Portal you will need your unique login and password provided to you by Learner Services.
Please take time to read the information provided on the first two pages as it will help you to better understand the content of the Learning Summary and share its contents with your child.
On Thursday, 9 and Friday, 10 March, we will host our very popular Learning Conferences. It is an opportunity for you, your child and the class teacher to discuss their learning progress as well as view highlights from your child's learning so far. If you would like to discuss your child's Learning Summary in more detail before this time, please contact your child's class teacher to make an appointment.
For learners leaving at the end of this term, do note that you will need to view/download your child's Learning Summary before your Parent Portal account closes.
For learners that joined us after Wednesday, 16 November we are not able to generate a full Learning Summary, however you will receive a Learning Overview Summary, emailed to you directly.
How to access the Reports:
1) Log in to the Parent Portal through the Parent Zone (click here)
2) Once in the Parent Portal, click the 'View Details' button below your child's photo
3) Click to expand the 'Assessment Reports' tab if it has not been opened
4) Select the most current Reporting Period from the drop-down box
5) Click to open the report in PDF
We are delighted to be welcoming new teachers to Nexus in January.
As we continue to grow new classes will be opening in Nursery, Year 3 and Year 6.
Existing homeroom classes and teachers will not be changed, your child will still come back to the same homeroom teacher they have now. You may see some changes in single subject specialist teachers as we accommodate our new learners.
We have organised the usual lost and found display with the large number of unnamed items that we have collected this semester. May we take this opportunity to remind you to please clearly name every item so that we can easily track their owner.
Water bottles, caps, uniforms, clothes, swim bags, pencil cases and similar items are displayed on the Level 2 walkway, just outside the Aquatics Gym. The items will be on display until the last day of term, Friday 16th December.
Valuable items (EZ link cards, air pods, jewellery, watches, glasses, calculators, keyboards, to name just a few!) are kept safe at Learner Services. Please come and check with us if you think your lost item may be there. Please note that we will only be able to return EZlinks that have been registered. You can find more information about registering EZ links at the following link: https://www.ezlink.com.sg/ezlinkapp/
We hope we can reunite as many items as possible with their rightful owners! Please note that we will dispose of, or donate to charity, anything that hasn’t been claimed by the last day of term.
As we continue to roll out our security measures, School IDs and car decals will be enforced from Term 3. If you haven't registered your caregiver or your vehicle, please do so at the following links:
Sewer works will be conducted on Aljunied Walk and there will be disruptions to school traffic as cars go in and out.
Part 1 (Right lane) will be closed from 17 December 2022 for about 6 weeks.
Part 2 (Left lane) will be closed in end January 2023 and completed in early March 2023.
Please anticipate extra time needed to enter and leave the school during your commute.
We would also like to take this opportunity to let you know that as of December 2nd, Aljunied Walk is under LTA (Land and Transport Authority)’s management.
