Rules and Procedures
These are brief descriptions of the rules and procedures for 6th Grade Math and Pre-Algebra. Full descriptions are in the syllabus that will be handed out on the first day of school.
Rules
Arrive to class on time.
Use polite and appropriate language.
Do not cheat, plagiarize, or copy work.
Do not go to another classroom or anywhere else on campus without first letting me know where you are going.
Do not take anything off my desk.
Do not write on the whiteboards at any time unless asked.
Consequences
First Violation: Warning
Second Violation: Nutrition or Lunch Detention
Third Violation and Hereafter: Nutrition or Lunch Detention and Parent Contact
Fourth Violation: Referral
Severe disruptions in class will result in student immediately being sent to the office with a referral.
Procedures
Enter the classroom quietly and ready to learn.
Bring all materials needed to class at the beginning of each period.
Immediately start the bell ringer.
Have homework out and ready to be checked.
Use a bathroom pass to go to the bathroom or anywhere else outside the classroom (water or locker).
Quietly get up to throw something away, get tissue, or hand sanitizer. No need to ask.
Turn all assignments into the designated class box.

Not showing work regardless of calculator use.
Wrong answers with little to no effort shown.
Rounding answers incorrectly or not rounding when required.
Simplifying answers incorrectly or not simplifying when required.
Forgetting to write first AND last name on paper.
Work done in anything other than a pencil. I provide pencils in class for students at all times. No excuses.
