Rolling and Sliding

Students investigated rolling and sliding. Groups had a bag of various materials to test to see if they rolled, slid, did both, or did not move.

After testing all the objects, students concluded that objects that have a flat side slide while objects with curved sides rolled. Cylinders, which have both a curved and flat side, did both. Objects that have texture usually didn't move.
