Ms. Smillie leads the green teams at Peirce. She has been gardening with students for many years, beginning as a parent volunteer at Franklin Elementary School. Her goal is to bring every student out to the garden to explore, observe, plant, water, harvest, or taste.

Ms. Carey is a 5th grade teacher who has integrated gardening into her curriculum for the last 20 years. She is a life-long gardener and a passionate composter.
