How to... Craft
By: Maya Hurt
With winter break recently ending, it seems like the perfect time for a fun winter craft
How to make a paper snowflake
For this you need:
Paper regular or origami Scissors
There are 2 ways to make a paper snowflake an easier way or a harder way
We start with the easier way
Step 1: fold the paper from the short edge to the long edge (if you have origami paper skip this step)
Step 2: cut off excess paper (you can skip this step if you have origami paper)
Step 3: Fold it in half
Step 4: then fold it in half again.
Step 5: get out your trusty scissors and cut shapes into the sides( you can do any shapes but I like to do triangles, you can also draw out your design first)
Then you unfold and voila
Now for the harder snowflake
Step 1: follow steps 1-3 of the easier snowflake guide
Step 2: Fold it 3 quarters of the way
Step 3: then flip it over and repeat step 2
Step 4: then once again get out your trusty scissors and chop of the bottom
Step 5: draw out your design, (you can use your own or use mine
Step 6: Get out your scissors again and cut out the design
Then you unfold and voila
Here are some snowflakes the other reporters made
