Ms. Bergantino is the instrumental and classroom music teacher at Bigelow Middle School, and the director of Newton's All City Orchestra. Prior to joining the faculty at Bigelow Middle School, Ms. Bergantino taught band and orchestra at Oak Hill Middle School, and elementary strings at Countryside, Memorial-Spaulding, Zervas, Bowen, and Mason-Rice. Prior to teaching in Newton, Ms. Bergantino taught music in the Belmont Public Schools and Mark Twain Intermediate School in Brooklyn, NY.
Ms. Bergantino has a Bachelor's degree in Music Education with a concentration in viola performance from New York University, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Arts Administration at Boston University. Ms. Bergantino has performed with various ensembles in NYC and currently performs with the Brookline Symphony Orchestra.
During the summers, Ms. Bergantino works as the Assistant Director of Camp Encore/Coda, an overnight music camp in Sweden, Maine.
