Mission:

The mission for Active Minds is to help strengthen school support systems for students/teachers, cultivating holistic growth both in and out of the classroom. The core principles are: 

• To enable all students to engage with learning without excessive stress. 

• Access to essential resources, mental support and a physical items (ex. books, pencils, computers)

• A school community where every individual is treated with respect. 

Alongside this, we want to spread awareness and help reduce the rapidly increasing amount of NSSI (Non-Suicidal Self Injury) and suicide rates. School should be a safe space for all, no matter race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexuality, religion, and other important aspects of identity.

So What?

Schools are a place for students to come an learn. However, many are simply less interested and aren't able to get enough support. Active Minds aims to create healthier environments where stress doesn't hinder learning and where essential resources are provided to all. We want to fostering the long-term well-being and development of both students and teachers, investing in a more positive and inclusive school community, empowering individuals to thrive and contribute meaningfully, being more than academically successful but also mentally healthy, resilient, and equipped to thrive in all aspects of their lives.
