Most students agree that the neighborhoods in Massachusetts are safe from crime and feel safe with their caregivers. However, less people do community service, participate in organized activities, and feel like they belong at school. The first step for students to enjoy school is to make a environment of belonging. A few ways to do this is implementing more opportunities for students to engage with their community. The better every student gets to know what community lives in their school, the more comfortable they can feel, which can boost enjoyment in school.
