Service Learning

All South Newton High School students will be participating in service learning through PRIDE every Monday. Participating in this service learning allows for our students to OPT IN to graduating high school via the Graduation Pathways. SNHS has been proactive in advocating for our students to ensure we are giving them every opportunity to graduate high school while working to better our school & community. Taking this a step further, all students who complete this will receive a “Community Service” credit which will be added to a student’s transcript after they have successfully completed their 7th semester of high school.

Below are some examples of the service learning our student body did during the 2018-19 school year. We are very proud of this initiative and excited to see the change this will bring to your school & community.

BREAK BAGS

Each PRIDE provided "Break Bags" for some of our Elementary Students. We received a few grants to be able to fill LOTS of bags with goodies for students to enjoy over Christmas break!

Easter Egg Hunt

Various PRIDE's got together & provided an Easter Egg Hunt for our Elementary Students!
