CTE: Career & Tech Education

South Newton High School offers a variety of CTE Courses with our partnership through Indian Trails Career Cooperative. Our CTE instructors are experts in their field and help prepare our students for life after high school! 

The Indiana Department of Education has developed a new method for tracking CTE Concentrators. A CTE Concentrator is a student who has earned at least 6 credits in a CTE pathway taking a Principles Course, Concentrator A & Concentrator B Course. These courses build on one another and help prepare a student for careers within that career domain.

Students are encouraged to seek out Work Based Learning Experiences through their coursework while at South Newton.
